Information to the Country
The Isle of Man is an island in the Irish Sea between Scotland (29 km), England (48 miles), Northern Ireland (52 km), Wales (71 miles) and the Republic of Ireland (85 km). Its location has a humid, temperate climate with mild winters and cool summers. Therefore it has less snow than Helgoland.
The Isle of Man as being an autonomous English crown dependency reports directly to the British Crown, but is not part of the United Kingdom nor a colony. It is a separate legal entity and is not part of the European Union.
The Isle of Man is - in addition to the world famous Tourist Trophy motorcycle race - known as a tax haven and offshore domicile of companies.
