Information to the Country
Lithuania is a country in Northern Europe. It is the southernmost of the three Baltic states.
Lithuania bordered to the west by the Baltic Sea and shares borders with Latvia, Belarus, Poland and the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast. As an independent Republic of Lithuania existed from 1918 to 1940 and after 1990. Since 1 May 2004 Lithuania is a member state of the European Union.
